Oh, my many blessings.

My heavenly father is so kind and loving to each and every one of his children. To add some proof, here is one of the blessings he has given me.

My little brother Brody. He is 3 and an absolute ANGEL. I am his "second mommy" and his big sis. I love him so very much along with my other sibs! I thank my Heavenly Father every night in my prayers for giving me him and the rest of my family.

Oh My Gosh

Dude, it's been too long. I loved my summer, but GUESS WHAT?! It's over. Today was a half day, and it wasn't too bad. I saw Charlie St. Cloud right before school started and when I left my face was drenched in tears. Amazing movie. I'll write more tomorrow.

Hannah- Cupcake Wars

Wow! Elle. Those are gorgeous sunsets. I wish I could've sat in the soft sand and gazed out to the beautiful sunsets. That is so fun that you get to go there! =)
Anyway, today I played "Cupcake Wars" with two of my wonderful friends! It was so fun, except for the huge mess that was splattered over the table. It took a good hour and a half for me to clean it up. Besides that, it was a blast! I made a delicious chocolate, cinnamon swirl cupcake that was really good! We didn't have a recipe in front of us, and we were timed, so we are actually really good at making cupcakes. Who knows? Maybe we will be pastry chefs!
I have to go!
P.S. if you haven't seen the shows: Cupcake Wars, Fabulous Cakes, Cake Boss, or DC cupcakes, I highly recommend watching them! CHOU!

Hannah- I know i haven't posted in a while...

I haven't posted in a while. Neither has Elle, who has been chillin' at Bear Lake. She is home now, and I was just with her. She is practicing piano and will be at my house in a bit.
Anyway
1. I had dance tryouts. I was so scared I wasn't going to make it. But I did. I have to admit I did pretty well at tryouts.
2. I went to a super fun writing workshop. It was a blast. A real author did it.
3. I am getting my junior high schedule tomorrow! YAY!
Got to go make cupcakes! :)
XOXO,

Hannah- The Most Beautiful Places

I think these places are the most beautiful places in the world. Aren't these spectacular places stunning? These beautiful buildings are the amazing temples in (Top) San Diego temple (Middle) the Arizona Temple, and (Bottom) The Utah Temple.
These places are beautiful, spectacular, wonderful, stunning, peaceful, and so amazing.

Hannah- The Last Song

I know! I haven't posted in what seems like a DECADE!
Anywaysies, I totally went to see "The Last Song!" at the dollar theatre! Wow, I was like bathing in tears! (not really) It was so, so SAD! I usually want to roll my eyes at Miley Cyrus and giggle as her career starts going down the drain, but this time... I can't believe I am saying this. I just had a pinch of respect for her. She played a good character in the movie. (But she looks like a 70 year old in her bikini. EW.)

WELL, I have to go watch my top favorite show: Toddlers and Tiaras. If you've seen the show, don't you agree that the moms on that show have problems? Seriously. They need to step their lives out of the "Pageant World." And teach their girls to have good manners, and they need to stop letting their girls scream like newborns.

P.S. that show is deliciously horrible.

Have YOU Ever Felt Freezing?

Not one member of my family will go boogie boarding with me. I have no cousins my age. Could this get any worse? I thought. As I dragged my boogie board into the water, my feet smudged the wet sand. The water didn't get cold until I was about 10 feet in. Now you say, oh it's just some cold water, man up (or you don't) but this isn't cold water. I usually don't admit when I think something is cold because I am a natural show off, but I full on told everyone that I couldn't handle it.
Actually, when I got it today, it was the 4th time I had. I really don't know how to describe it. Maybe, it feels like swimming in something colder than ice water. Yeah. I said it. Anyways, July in California ain't as hot as it should be. And neither is the water.

My First Day in California

After a backbreaking 6 1/2 hour drive, I climbed out of the car at my favorite restaurant [anywhere] Pat & Oscars. I enjoyed their mouthwatering (and don't forget fattening) breadsticks, pasta, pizza, and sensational Caesar Salad. Pat & Oscars fed my 6 member family for around $40 (don't forget leftovers). Then we went home and slept like babies. The next morning the kids were up-an-at-'em to go to the beach. The beach adventures were incredible. I spent 45 minutes digging a pool, and it turned out to be quite big, but by the time I was done, the tide had gone out so no water could fill my pool. And, drumroll please, I swam with dolphins. Right on the beach. They came in for a visit last year too! I would've touched one, but I got scared... And this is just my first day in California.

Hannah-B-day

Today we celebrated my little stinkerbutton brothers birthday. It was sure an adventure. We went to the mighty Bounce Zone. We bounced, and bounced, we went down the slides, got many slide burns on our elbows and knees, and dealt with a boy that constantly threw things at my brothers and tackled them. Uhh...What a day. And...whew. I am exhausted. My little brother insisted that we go to a simple restaurant... In-n-out burger. He said he wouldn't go to The Rainforest Cafe, or The Cheesecake factory. So we went and chomped on burgers. Then, we were off to home. Time for my nap. :)

Hannah- My Sweet Brother

The baby of our family is turning 6 years old. Wow. I can't believe it. I can remember when I first held him. His soft, dark, feather-like hair rested upon his small head. He had the most promising brown eyes and his smooth, blue blanket was wrapped comfortably around the little bundle of joy.

5 things I love about my amazing brother

1. He is a spitfire and is so fun to be around
2. He has the cutest smile
3.He has a good imagination
4. He is super smart
5. He is so caring and thoughtful. He even brings me his cute pictures from primary.

Love this boy tons.

Reagan- Pinetop

The trees surrounded me with their arms sticking out like coatracks. I hurried to catch up with my family as they hiked down to the little spring where the water dribbled past rocks and little green plants and moss grew abundantly. The "nature hike" I went on with my family was just one of the many things I did on my 3 1/2 day trip to Pinetop, AZ. I almost got severely injured while riding a quad at the Quackenbush's cabin, but thankfully, my loving heavenly father was watching over me as I followed boys on quads and a ranger. My dad, brother, and I had a spiritual and heartwarming experience when my brother lost his phone on a rugged and huge golf course surrounded by cliffs of large proportions. Long story, but all the events fell into place in a way that WASN'T just a mere coincidence. I got stuck on a paddleboat at my aunt's parent's ranch on their pond with my sister when the wind suddenly picked up and got us jammed in the reeds. I got to speed around a track in a go kart as I tried and failed to win the race. I discovered Mateo's Mexican Grill Cantina and loved it. I highly recommend Mateo's to anyone near Pinetop or Show Low. My trip was definitely an adventure and a trip that changed me inside somehow. I look forward to returning to watch the mesmerizing fireworks on the fourth of July, and I am extremely thankful to be living in a free country! God bless America!

Cali and the Fourth of July :)

Summer has been awesome this year! Reagan... LOVE the writing! Beautiful! Haha. My family and I had an outstanding time in Cali. We saw old friends and made new ones!!! It wAs a BLAST!!! I'm sp very grateful for the blessings and opprotunity I have! The cool breeze rushed into my face and the cold salty waves tickled as the water trickled up my red, sun burnt legs. Smiley faces, hearts, and sp much more ! We also went with some very fun families! I am so psyched for he rest of our joyful summer that lies ahead!!! :) !! Well I am in the silver air-conditioning car driving in a 12hour drive. Yes, what a joy! I am heading to bear lake!! Hannah- This and That

Reagan, totally amazing post. I was tearing up a bit girl! Guys, just FYI, I will be posting for a while. Reagan will be soaking in the sun in Cali and Elle will be boogie boarding at the beach. Seriously, I am so jealous.
Anyway, I hope your summer has been great! I have had a fantastic time this summer. Recently, we did a family vacation to Disneyland. It was a blast! We went on so many rides and ate lots of cotton candy. We had 11 people total in our family that came. We usually got our very seat or boat on the rides with all 11 of us. We even got our own row on Soarin' Over California, which is one of my most favorite rides.
HIGHLIGHT OF MY TRIP: When my awesome uncle managed to go on California Screamin' with me. Not every adult will go on a roller coaster that will go upside-down.
I hope everyone has had an awesome summer! TTYL!

Love,
HANNAH <3

Reagan-An Emotional Post

I was 5 years old when my grandma was diagnosed and passed away from breast cancer. I didn't understand that it was goodbye for real. And to this day I still regret saying to her, "Why don't you have any hair, because you look weird without it." Even though I know my Grandma Kathy was strong enough to let it pass. This particular event in my life reminds me of one if my favorite songs. On the bus ride home from science camp, Hannah was singing Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood. When she began the ending verse about the old man in a hospital bed, I turned my head away and began to cry.I don't think Hannah understood why I was crying. Yes I thought of my Grandma Kathy during this time, but I was happy."This is my temporary home, it's not where I belong-"Carrie Underwood is right. Earth is our temporary home. We do not live here. "Windows and rooms that I'm passing through." We are just passing through these houses and stores and going in and out of cars."This was just a stop on the way to where I'm going, and I'm not afraid because I know, this WAS my temporary home." Emphasis on the WAS is because the old man is dying and his family is crying. He means that we are all going to leave this temporary home someday, whether it's tomorrow, or 50 years from now, our Heavenly Father has a separate plan for each of us. And that's why I am not scared of death anymore. This song is beautiful, sad, and inspirational all in one. It helped me realize that I will see my Grandma again in our permanent home in heaven. And for those who have lost a loved one, stay strong. Thanks,Reagan

Hannah- Favorite Dessert

I have a favorite dessert. I think I may just have to share it with you, because it will be the very best dessert you will ever have.
It all started while I was walking down the busy sidewalk of New York City. I saw a bunch of different restaurants, gift shops, everything you can imagine. But once I saw Magnolia Bakery, I knew I had to go there. I opened the clean, glass doors and stepped inside to the sweet scent of cupcake batter. I walked up to the window, displaying the scrumptious cupcakes, ready to be eaten. "Chocolate, no. Vanilla, no." I said. There were so many flavors of cupcakes I wanted to try. I narrowed my hazel eyes toward another cupcake. "Red Velvet. Yes." The cashier handed me the cupcake. I plucked off the cupcake liner, and took a bite. I was in bliss. The frosting was so creamy, and so light. So perfect. And the cake. Yum. My mouth is watering. It was so moist, and rich. I haven't had a better cupcake in my life. If you are going to travel to New York City, you have to go to Magnolia Bakery. It is simply out of this world.

Trying Something New

Hey, it's Hannah and Reagan here! We found a gooey, delicious recipe on http://www.picky-palate.com. Here it is!! It's real simple, simple enough for a blonde and an inside blonde to make! Haha, but we really don't have anything against blondes, blond peoples rule! Adios for now and enjoy the recipe: Reagan and Hannah

(P.S. The picture wouldn't come up, so just envision some delicious, heavenly rice krispie oreo treats in your head.)

Cookies and Cream Rice Crispy Treats
4 Tablespoons Butter4 Cups mini marshmallows8 Cups rice crispy cereal8 oz bag mini Oreo cookies
1/2 Cup chocolate chips, melted
1. Place butter and marshmallows into a large microwavable bowl. Microwave for a few minutes until marshmallows puff up nice and large. Remove and stir in cereal and Oreos. Pour into a large 9×13 inch baking dish. With the back of a large spoon that’s sprayed with cooking spray press and smooth treats. Drizzle melted chocolate over top and let cool. Cut into squares.
